The wind production capacity of the agreed projects under different development phases on Dasos lands has recently grown to 1 GW, equaling an investment opportunity of around EUR 1.2 billion. Interest towards areas suitable for solar energy is also increasing rapidly. There is a pre-assessment ongoing on over 3,000 ha of potential solar park areas on Dasos land in Finland, Baltic States, Poland and Portugal. The annual solar capacity potential of these areas totals around 2 GW and equals an investment opportunity of around EUR 1.5 billion.

Dasos is promoting the concepts of bio-wind and bio-solar:  compensation areas are made available for wind and solar investors to offset losses caused in terms of forest area and biodiversity.
