Dasos has carried out a study on wind power pre-feasibility in its lands in Southern Portugal. There is potential for at least for 24 new wind turbines in two different blocks, with total calculated energy output of 470,000 MWh per annum. In total, the identified venture would represent a significant opportunity to expand renewable energy capacity in the region. It appears that the project would largely complement the current forestry operation with broad synergies and minimal trade-offs. The project is proceeding to a next stage with more detailed review on feasibility and execution.
