Dasos Capital gave a presentation at “Digital Forestry – Major Trends and Challenges in the International Forest Industry” event on 29 November 2019. More than 100 attendees participated in the event focusing on new technologies and solutions in forest planning and optimisation, wood supply chain and assessment of climate changes impacts.
Dasos Capital’s Senior Partner Sami Veijalainen talked about the requirements for the forest planning tools and the accuracy of the forest inventory data from a timberland investors’ point of view. He also presented ongoing Dasos projects focusing on forest data digitalization and planning tool development in Estonia and Ireland utilizing artificial intelligence, most recent high-resolution satellite images and laser scanning data.
